Conditions of Purchase

Before you contact me to purchase a doll, please make sure you have read and understand the following doll-specific terminology and caveats:

NM – Near Mint

This means that the doll/item may have slight imperfection(s) which I haven’t identified. Most of my dolls are not new. They have been stored in a smoke-free, feline-free environment, either in their original boxes or in glass display cabinets. If you are looking for a Pristine doll in perfect condition, I suggest you pass on my offerings. I do my best with photographs and descriptions to accurately depict the dolls I am selling. However experience has taught me, where faults are looked for, they can always be found.

LE – Limited Edition

This means that a limited number of the doll/item has been produced. Generally, the number produced is known, but in some circumstances, only the production term is known (i.e. one year)

OOAK – One of a Kind

The doll/item is unique: Dolls that are only produced in single units, most commonly by artists who customize an existing commercial doll.

NRFB – Never Removed from Box

This means the doll/item has never been removed from its original box. This does not mean the doll/item is NEW. A NRFB doll is the closest thing you can find to a doll that has come to you from the manufacturer. NRFB dolls may have staining and/or factory defects that I have not been able to check. If you enjoy the way the doll looks in the box (as photographed) and/or care about the artist’s vision of the doll, (as seen on the artist website or catalogue) then you may enjoy owning a NRFB doll. In my opinion, these dolls are best used for ‘display’ and not ‘play’. I advise you to research the brand you are buying on fan forums. Some manufactured dolls have known defects. If you can’t deal with such imperfections, then perhaps you might consider a different brand.
